  1. The level of detail in this print is astonishing. The composition is a bit of a puzzler, with the robot/Maria hybrid head looking at first glance to be too centered. But on further thought, I think it’s position is quite purposeful. Don’t want to spoil the film for those who are unlucky enough to have never seen Metropolis, but suffice to say that it has something to do with the “heart” of the matter.

    Bravo, Laurent!

  2. Whoops! Of course, I was referring to the regular version of the poster.

  3. Ugh, another Metropolis print. It’s as if every print shop popping up just waits to see what Mondo does and copies it. And though I usually like Laurent Durieux’s work that variant is creepy and very underwhelming.

  4. No way to Flip-a-sauraus above! DHM’s been around and makes sense they went with the grandaddy classic of all silent films to launch a film series. Every publisher does Metropolis, and the net’s on fire with Laurent redefining it for them. Great job!

  5. Right, Flip-a-saurus… because no one ever created a Metropolis print before Mondo *eyeroll*

  6. Laurent Durieux knows the secret to making great art.

  7. The DHM site is going to EXPLODE! Love the regular probably a mite more than the variant.

  8. Fuck. My. Ass.
    These are incredible.

  9. Holy Shit is an understatement. This guy does great work!

  10. Sold out in less than a minute. That says a lot about how this guy’s work is regarded. Derieux goes! The alternate is very good (it’s the fire-plug-like boobs that throw me off), but the regular one is super.
