  1. Awesome!

  2. Don’t wait for mondo, there is a variant on ebay now for $50…

  3. What is that?

  4. Meh

  5. Wow, the variant actually contains LESS than the regular design, yet they still think that it having a smaller print run warrants a 30 dollar price increase. Whomp Whomp.

  6. The regular version crops the top and bottom of the artwork and reduces the size a bit to add a border and make room for the credits. So the variant contains more art, not less. It just removes the text for those who want to focus on the complete image.

The regular will please those who want a movie poster style print. If you want to enjoy all of DD’s design purely as an art print, go for the variant. (I was also surprised to find that it features glow in the dark ink.) Personally, I also like having a text free version to hang beside his Star Wars print–same size, similar color scheme, also text free. They both look great and the focus is on the art. I’m glad there is an option, although certainly there will be more people who want the text on there–and the edition sizes reflect that.

  7. Not very appealing. Maybe for 10$ Lol

  8. Awesome! LOVE IT!

  9. They’re up.

  10. Variants sold out in about a minute.

  11. Regulars gone now as well, 11 minutes in total.
How many will be on Ebay within the next 11 minutes?
    My regular won’t be +1 🙂

  12. +1, i think its a cool print

  13. There were already a ton of these on ebay before the sale that no one is bidding on. What’s a few more…

  14. Like I said, “Meh”

  15. DrewDaCollector: yeah, we heard you the first time and still don’t care.

  16. Thanks ben Jason and matt. I’m really happy with this one given I’m a huge fan of the V’GER concept in Star Trek lore. I prefer the movie poster version personally.

Walter, when you have a smaller edition size the per piece cost of each print goes up because of all the initial production costs and setup and shipping is split between fewer prints. nevermind that they were made for SDCC so the booth/expenses were factored into the price for that release.

  17. Love it, bought it, can’t wait to see it up close.
