  1. Isn’t this the third entry?

Regardless, I’m loving Whalen on these.

  2. Has the shark been jumped?

  3. No.

  4. I’ve been torn on all of these Disney releases. On the one hand, Whalen’s style seems well suited to the material. Like this one could have been hung in some theater in the ’30s and fit right in. On the other hand, they’ve been a bit dull. This one is the best of the three so far, IMO, but I don’t think any have quite earned a spot of my limited wall space.

Any guesses on time to sellout? 1 minute, over or under?

  5. I can understand the hard core Disney whores going after these, but aren’t there some more interesting works we should be seeing, The Black Hole for instance…
Love Whalen’s work on these though, really nice job emulating a classic graphic design period.

  6. not really feeling Thor.

  7. flippers will though

Probably tops! Depending on how many they sold in store, as it’s a pretty big edition. Plus Thor may divert a certain amount of attention. But there seems to be this mad dash to buy literally anything Mondo put out now, as a lot of people seem to think they’ll be going for 10 times face value on Ebay within a matter of minutes and only rarely is this actually the case. Roger Rabbit didn’t and that is a more beloved film, so people looking to simply sell on should really dodge this and let those who legitimately want it, get it. The amount of F5ing, waiting and stress involved in scoring a Mondo print just isn’t worth it if you’re a seller looking to make $40 odd profit.

With regards to the print itself, it’s really rather lovely! Would look beautiful next to SBW in matching frames. I scored RR but wish I’d skipped in favour of this in hindsight. Damn international postage costs!
