Deep In The Heart Of Texas!!

As many of our beloved poster artists converge on Austin, TX for SXSW and the Flatstock poster convention, I will also be taking a break from posting on the site.  I will be back in full force at the beginning of next week, and I expect all of you to join me.  Have a great weekend!!

  1. Oh man, I love Austin! SXSW rules! Have a friggin blast Mitch! If you get the chance check out the Strange Famous Records showcase on Saturday night. Magnolia Cafe is an awesome breakfast place. I will live vicariously through you.

  2. Magnolia Cafe is awesome. Shady Grove is a favorite of mine too– not a breakfast place, but an absolutely awesome outdoor eating place– get a hippie sandwich.

I’m trying to decide if I can get out there this weekend. Don’t have passes or a place to stay, but those are minor hurdles!

    Enjoy it Mitch.

  3. Have fun and don’t spend to much – looking forward to the write up when your back.

  4. God damn I wish I was there. I wish I could remember the fruit smoothie place my buddy always goes too. A little hole in the wall joint over by the springs. I want to go back so bad!

  5. @Brian

Is it right across the street from shady grove? Daily Juice Co.?

I think so. I havent been there in a few years so I cant really remember. I remember a lot of green, green grass and right around those cold springs everyone takes a dip in.

  11. FYI, I hear DJ Shadow is going to do a set there, tonight maybe. He says it may be his only DJ set of ’09. Check it out if you’re there.

  12. Just to remind you all while Mr Mitch is away – The Kinsey print just went up

  13. I’m teleporting myself right now!
    I’m in Austin!!
Holy shit man this rules!! Yeah man, yeah, it really does…

  14. Flatstock seemed a little on the lean side this year, Kind of feels like 75% of the stuff was there last year, still cool, but missed having Daniel Danger do a cool print for Austin as last years was great.

  15. Thats it, Im moving to Austin. Anyone need a plumber down there?

  16. Flatstock 20 was the light of my SXSW experience. It was so amazing to see all my favorite print houses all in one place..not to mention all the great pieces i picked up…a lot of one of a kinds!

Austin is so beautifull and im planning on moving here as soon as possible!!

  17. Yes, I’m converting my garage into a print-shop, and need a washout booth…move to austin, and do my plumbing.

  18. Would that be a job that keeps paying even when I’m done?
