  1. Tara rules. It was great getting to catch up at Flatstock and seeing her stuff fly off the tables next to me.

  2. can’t wait for the coloring book!

  3. she is based out of NY? i always wondered why there are hardly any poster artists here in NY? there must be well over 1,000 concerts a year in NYC and barely any have posters, very strange

    anyway, i heart tara

  4. Rich,
as someone who lives in NY and does posters I find it to be an absolute nightmare. Venues and promoters are very cold and unresponsive. I wish I could say there was a more valid reason but from my experiences people are just shitty here when it comes to embracing this type of art/work. Most venues I’ve delt with respond with “What do you mean a concert poster?” Like you just told them you hail from Mars.

  5. wow, thats a shame, there are probably more shows here than anywhere else
thanks for the response jediak (any links to your work?)

  6. Rich,
my stuff is up with my design partner here:

  7. Jediak,

I love your Dodos poster. Is it available anywhere yet? Their new album kicks.

  8. Any one know what’s up with the comic she was doing for DC?

  9. Tom W,
I will have to check what i got at home, at the office right now. If not we def should have leftover stock in SF where my design partner(Matt Leunig) is living at the moment. He is coming into town(NY) on Friday so we can finilize some details on upcoming gigs and so forth so if need be i can ask him to grab a couple. I’ll let you know.

  10. Jediak,

I love that Dodo’s poster as well. In addition, the Man Man on the first page and Psychic Twin poster are brilliant. I would love to be able get a hold of some of them. Let me know.

  11. is tara smoking hot, or is it just the rad posters she makes and all the fucking awesome music she listens to thats clouding my judgement?

  12. Thanks a bunch for the kind words everyone, I will pass them on to Matt as well and Greg I’ll check on those prints for you too. We just finished a Guitar Zeros print that should be up on Gig Posters in the next couple of days as well, 1st NY show! Turned out pretty cool but ran out of time and as always felt some things could have been better.

  13. Nope, your judgement is far from clouded, she is smokin hot. I think I’m in love…..

  14. vintage ampeg bass amps are whats hot.

  15. That’s the thing about her. She’s killer on so many levels.

  16. Sigh.

  17. Shes mad for some ink !
Big old amp behind her as well.
    She kicks it out.

  18. I HAVE A QUESTION. ARE ALL OF THESE CONCERT POSTERS IN SIGNED AND NUMBERED EDITIONS SANCTIONED BY THE BANDS OR THE CLUB? I USED TO MAKE BAND POSTERS, AND WE TAPED THEM UP AROUND TOWN, THE IDEA OF SILK SCREENING THEM, SIGNING, AND EDITIONING THEM, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE SHOW WAS OVER, DOES NOT SEEM CONDUCIVE TO PROMOTING THE SHOW. ANY INSIGHTS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
    BEEF OUT!

  19. /obligatory caps lock notification post
