Angryblue was given the mammoth task of creating a poster for a UK show featuring The Jesus Lizard, Harvey Milk, and Grails. Well, he pretty much nailed it. This has zero to do with posters, but it is just amazing. As part of last week’s live This American Life event, master comic artist Chris Ware created this Quimby The Mouse animation. Yoskay Yamamoto’s new show, “Hello and Goodbye”, just opened up at LeBasse Projects in Culver City, CA. As always, the Arrested Motion crew was there to document the opening. If you’re not familiar with Yoskay, make sure you do your research, he’s a serious up-and-comer (all but one piece in the current show have already sold, many in the five-figure range). For the third year in a row, Emek has created a stunning poster for the Coachella festival. He will be selling a special “Twilight” artist edition of the poster tomorrow. Toybot Studios was able to swing by the opening of “Shinganist” (a show of Japanese artwork curated by Usugrow) at Upper Playground last weekend, and they snapped some awesome photos.
