Shepard Fairey In Washington, DC

Arrested Motion has some very cool, extensive coverage of last weekend’s Shepard Fairey opening at Irvine Contemporary in Washington, DC.  The pictures show the party, some of the artwork, Shep on the streets, and most importantly a brand new Obama-related image, “Vote”.  Very cool stuff indeed, check it out at ArrestedMotion.com.

“The Skulliphant Racer” Art Print by StupidDevil

Don’t really know much about these guys, but I thought this was a cool little art print.   “The Skulliphant Racer” is a 13″ x 19″ three color screenprint.  At only $25, it’s a pretty nice grab.  They also have some other cool prints for sale, so take a minute to check out the StupidDevil Store.

“73 Funshine” Book by Jason Jägel (With Madlib 10″ Jazz Record)

Original Drawings by Dan Grzeca

Dan Grzeca just put a handful of original drawings up for sale.  They are all sized around 11″ x 11″, and are mixed media pieces with ink, pastel, and colored pencil.  The prices on these are great, only $75-$125 each.  Also, keep an eye on the site, as Dan has promised to put ten more drawings up each day for the next week or so.  Visit his Etsy Shop.

Signed & Numbered Gallery in Salt Lake City

In case you didn’t know, Leia Bell opened her very own gallery in Salt Lake City.  They largely focus on prints, and have had some great shows so far.  If you’re ever in SLC, stop by for sure.  Check out this video interview / gallery profile with Leia.

Currently they are running a show featuring screenprints based on the photography of Patrick Phegley.  The images all depict the streets of Los Angeles, and the prints are a great deal.  They are all large screenprints with super tiny editions, and only cost $20-$40 each.  Check out the whole show at DeathOfField.com.

“The Sunset Rooftops” Art Print by Huck Gee (Onsale Info)

Kidrobot Art Print by David Flores

I have to give credit to Vinyl Pulse for this info.  If you’re a big Kidrobot fan, this is definitely a cool art print.  David Flores put this one together, and it is 18″ x 24″, has an edition of only 50, and is $50.  You can pick one up at Kidrobot.com.

The “Sketch For Change” Project

Hoping to provide a final financial push toward Barack Obama’s presidential nomination, a handful of super talented artists took some time out at the recent Baby Tattooville event to donate a one of a kind sketch.  The pieces are being auctioned off now, with all proceeds to be donated to the Obama campaign.  There are 22 artists involved, names like Joe Ledbetter, Gary Baseman, Glenn Barr, Jeff Soto, and more.  The auctions end on Saturday, October 25.  Bid high!  Check them out at eBay.com.
