“The Jane Project” – Mixed Media Jane Doe Pieces by Jacob Bannon

Jacob Bannon has been working on this project for a loooong time, and it’s finally come to fruition. “The Jane Project” consists of 90 one-of-a-kind, mixed media (Japanese Gouache, Acrylic, Spray Paint, Ink, and other mediums) Jane Doe pieces on plywood. No two are alike, and they’re 23.5″ x 31″. At $700, they may initially seem steep, but I get asked for his Jane Doe print more than any other piece I’ve ever covered, and this will be the last time he uses the image. Visit JacobBannon.com.

  1. This is pretty fucking exciting.

  2. Woulda been cool if you could pick your piece (unless that feature is on the site, but I didn’t see it).

  3. Its a great image but I’m glad he’s puting it away, good way to put it out with a bang

  4. damn!!!

  5. not that exciting for 700$ looks cool. but so does making space and planets paintings on cardboard w spray paint in Tijuana. I dont know. I know im gonna get criticized for this, but, Ive done some projector tracing pieces better than this. i just do it for fun, family, and friends.

  6. well the day you make make 63, 000 dollars off 90 of those projects please let me know not standing up for him because he has beat the horse that is this iamge for quite some time but if you want a bannon this is the one to get

  7. You ain’t lyin @EatDeath. If these sell out, I’m quitting everything else I do and gettin my posterize filter and muh splatter paint on! Yee haw!

  8. Except for the fact that he, uh, you know, made the image iconic by actually being in the band that got popular enough to even make it recognizable. That’s saying a lot.

  9. well, I can assure you more work went into these pieces than ‘Eat Death’ put into constructing his post.

  10. Sold out!

  11. @Fake Ryan seems like it’s time to quit everything else you do

  12. It is one of the best hardcore albums ever. I great design.

  13. Wow, congrats on the sell out!

  14. On the flip side, he must of needed some money. Knowing that the screen print goes over $300 on ebay. He knew he could bring in whatever he wanted. And again, cudos to Bannon and to Jane Doe (whomever she is). I hope she gets a royalty check.

  15. @natas It’s a purely digital image apparently, not based on a model at all so no royalty cheques to pay out.

I initially though it was pretty high, but given how much work looks to have been put into each one and the high quality of them $700 was a bargain really, just wish I’d had $700 to get one.

  16. That was a joke. It was in reference to “Jane Doe” being a dead girl. Me, too…I wish I did. I had the original print, but had to sell it.

  17. I cant belive people are dogging on these prints, wish I could have snagged one. Gonna have to track one down, they look gorgeous.

  18. Stoked to see this done. Even more stoked to have provided the soundtrack. Not stoked that I was about $575 short when I tried to get one.

  19. no dogging on my part came home hoping these where still up.

700 beans is a great price for whatt these are. still have my old one from way back hanging even though i dont like the album. or the band anymore.

the hunt is on for a lot of people, me included

  20. I’m amazed people bought this for 700$. It’s all good though. Obviously I don’t know who Banning is. Kind of glad I dont. Must be an underground Punk Metal scene thing. Congratulations everyone, including Jane :)

  21. lovely stuff!
