“My Daddy’s Gun” Art Print by Emory Douglas (Onsale Info)

Spoke Art will release this seriously awesome art print by Emory Douglas, best known for his work with The Black Panthers. “My Daddy’s Gun” (originally featured in The Black Panther) is an 18″ x 24″ screenprint, has an edition of 100, and will cost $50. It will first be available at their underground newspapers event tomorrow night (Friday, January 13th from 6pm to 10pm at 816 Sutter St. in San Francisco).   1. Just flat out great stuff. Echoes of Douglas in Fairey’s best work. A different time that, for some, required a “different” response. Or was it really that different a time? In any case, a very provocative release, and appropriately so in my opinion.
