LOTS of News from Kevin Tong (Plus Some from John Vogl Too!)

Kevin Tong just dropped a huge amount of print news. First, he’ll be selling two new prints based on books later this week. “Anthem” and “Brave New World” are 18″ x 24″ screenprints, have editions of 150, and will cost $30 each. They go up Wednesday, September 21st at a random time. Visit TragicSunshine.com.

In an even bigger bit of news, Kevin and John Vogl (aka The Bungaloo) will be having a show together in London next month. It opens October 13th at The Flood Gallery. Kevin will be contributing eight new art prints, plus Vogl will have a good bounty as well. Some previews are below (the first one is an exclusive debut), but you can get more info at the gallery’s Facebook page, or read up more at TragicSunshine.com. They’ll also be for sale starting October 13th at TheFloodGallery.com.

  1. Huge fan of their poster work.
Shame the last couple of the prints above are pretty lazy, stereotyped images of London/the UK.

  2. Flood Gallery is a nice place and the prices were pretty damn reasonable the last time I visited. Very cool to have a show in UK and I’ll be seeing about making it down for this.

  3. The textures that Kevin Tong are able to achieve via screenprint are always mind blowing.

  4. That Anthem illustration is bananas!

  5. Just checked to see about getting down for the opening. Sadly I’m a long way out of the capital and making it there on a Thursday night isn’t going to be possible. Was hoping for a Saturday so none London folk like myself could make it.

    Ah well.

  6. Hi Ian, Shame you can’t make the show. John is actually doing an in-store live drawing session on the weekend of the 15th – 16th. If you can’t make the show opening you should definitely try and make it down for that.

  7. Amazing. He even made an Ayn Rand story look cool.
