Here’s another new print from Shepard Fairey, this one should get a better response than the last one. “Bayshore Billboard” is an 18″ x 24″ screenprint, has an edition of 450, and will cost $45. It goes up Thursday, March 10th at a random time. Visit ObeyGiant.com.

  1. I actually, reeeeally like this one. That’s all I’ll say.

  2. Think the past rants up here on OMG might have been part of the cause for the below comment?

“The silhouette is some random lackey I hired because I don’t do street art myself.”
    -Shepard

    ….Back on Top!

  3. Doesn’t Dan McCarthy have a trademark on silhouettes?

For the record I have nothing against Dan or silhouettes. I think both are totally awesome :)

  4. I like this one as well.

  5. Seriously, this is the print where we say “sheps back!!,” come on, this is like a cell phone picture, Unless you’ve only been collecting him for the last year, sheps not back, your making this to easy on him, Maybes hes been busy designing all those new OBEY clothes for urban outfitters spring issue….yea thats probably it.

  6. Shep needs to crank up the self promoting propaganda machine again, since the art is not selling itself.

  7. I like this one. Will try to purchase.

  8. Shep could cure cancer and people would bitch and call him a Jonas Salk rip-off.

  9. You know you’ve made it as an artist when you can make art about you making art.

  10. Yep.

  11. Is that all everyone’s got?! Where’s the true, seeeeeething hatred?

“Urban Outfitters”? That one’s kind of tired.

    C’mon – dig deep!

  12. well my fiancee just got the new urban outfitters catalog yesterday thats why it was fresh in my mind

  13. how cool of him to pay tribute to himself here

  14. I like it…def a departure in some aspects…i guess when you attain his level of Success/exposure anything you do widely open to crit

  15. “The silhouette is some random lackey I hired because I don’t do street art myself.” anymore

    -Shepard

  16. What’s all that stuff down on the bottom right? It almost looks like it’s supposed to be trees and houses but the shapes are just weird blobs.

I know Shep ain’t got much of a drawing hand but what on earth?!

  17. That being said the man has been up on more billboards than Joe Camel.
Don’t love the print but I got respect for the artist.

  18. This looks like something I would have done in design class back in college. Done in illustrator in about 5 min. Looks cheap and quickly done with no soul put into it.

  19. Except this time shep actually bought the billboard as opposed to putting it up the obey sign illegally before.

Oh and PS shep can you leave andre alone for once in our life.

  20. i like it. minimalism doesn’t = lazy

  21. jump jump jump.

  22. @ Isaac LOLOLOLOL

    That’s a good one.

  23. Nice composition.

  24. As Peter Griffin once said, “It insists upon itself”.

  25. It’s not anything I would ever purchase, but it’s okay (at best). What screams “shitty illustrator work” is the bottom right black silhouette… wtf is that?

  26. New Peace Corp print is great. This one, so so. Donation is too much for me though. Good cause.
