Aaron Horkey’s Deadwood Print

Here’s a stunning look at Aaron Horkey’s Deadwood-themed art print that is part of the 2010 Mid America Print Council Conference.  This has to be one of the more interesting approaches I’ve ever seen to a television or movie art project.  It’s a 10″ x 24″ eight color screenprint.  A ton of other artists will also be involved in the series (including Jay Ryan, see his here), all referencing the cult HBO show.  The prints will be viewable at the conference, then available via the artists after the show.  No word yet on availability at the actual show.  For more info on the conference, visit the MAPC.

  1. I thought that Deadwood was a western/cowboy show – what does this print (which references skateboards) have to do with it? What am I missing?

  2. @ Randall

It’s just a mock product using keywords/references and regarding a main character of the show.

  3. Wow, I can’t wait to see the rest of the series!

  4. Excited to see what else there is.

    Deadwood is/was truly under appreciated.

  5. I like Horkey’s stuff, but I’m not a HUGE fan.. That being said, I really love this print and the idea behind it. Pretty rad.
