  1. This is gorgeous in person…picked one up at the show…

  2. Emek is so talented, it’s a shame his typefaces hurt every poster he makes! Not expecting Horkey-like text proficiency, just something solid.

  3. This must be amazing in person. Emek has been on fire lately. And while the text is similar on a lot of his posters, it still works 80% of the time and it’s hand-drawn.

  4. I hate to be the font snob, but I’d rather he use a non-hand drawn font as long as it’s better than the one he always uses. (above) It feels very “Hobo”-ish to me. That font will haunt the design world forever.

  5. Also, on his collaboration with Horkey lasat year, he used Papyrus for the footnotes/credits. Nitpicking, I know, but that is just inexcusable in my (admittedly pretentious) opinion.

  6. I totally agree Dr. Stupid.. His imagery is TOP SHELF however.. Better than almost ANYONE else…

  7. Whoah, not an Emek fan, but papyrus on any print is a total dealbreaker. ouch.

  8. I like his stuff but his colors are just a little too much to hang them / frame them and display the. love his illus and i think his typo matches his illustrations. well done. once i´ll move into a hippe place i´ll buy his stuff hell i wouldn´t mind buying his stuff but i never had any luck with his onsales. clap clap emek

  9. Typography makes or breaks a print… so many artists make a great image and then ruin it with typography. This one isn’t so bad, though the image reminds me a little too much of this classic: http://www.songkick.com/festivals/8761-day-on-the-green/id/676496-day-on-the-green-1991/posters/56456
