Tyler Stout’s Iron Man 2 Poster (Metal Variant Onsale Info)

Sorry for the lack of updates this week, the combination of some computer problems and a short getaway have messed things up a bit, but check this out.  After a printing delay, the metal Iron Man 2 posters by Tyler Stout are finally ready to be unleashed.  These are 24″ x 36″ screenprints on metal with an edition of 65.  Mondo’s copies will be offered exclusively at the soft store re-opening today (Friday, June 4th) at 5pm CST.  These will only be offered to folks in Austin, they will not be sold online or over the phone, they cannot be shipped. There will be a strict “one per person limit”.  For more info, visit Mondotees.com.

  1. anyone near 1120 S. Lamar Blvd. Austin, TX 78704 willing to help me grab one of this? im from california and need some help. email me at og2gucci@gmail.com.

  2. Goodness me, how much better is that?

This print was made for this. Great work.

  3. Dopenberg!

  4. Yeh, this thing looks just plain ridiculous. And yeh, Ill go ahead and say the same. The aftermarket on these things is going to be a small fortune. Oh well, would love to have one, but dont see it happening

  5. Sucks I live in mi I would be in line.

  6. I’ll be picking one up. Either keeping the original or selling this metal one later, we’ll see.

  7. this is gangsta-lookin. hammertime I doubt anyone will hook you up considering its one per person unless you`re willing to pay a fortune for one. That or if this dont sell out and make it on mondo`s site, you`ll have to duke it out with 1231273789123 x more ppl online. Tight-ass print. I`d get one w/o a doubt if only I live nearby

  8. mitch, any info if this will end up on tyler’s page later on… or on posters and prints? are all copies being sold at Mondo?

  9. shoot mitch… posters and toys, you know what I meant…

  10. re:jesus

Emailed tyler’s site yesterday asking same question. no reply from him yet.

  11. I think that Shipping costs will be too high, which is why they won’t sell this online. I remember when they did the T2 print on metal a few months ago, they sold that for $200; this might cost more. If shipping were an option, the cost would just spiral out of control.

  12. @Sarv
How much would shipping cost? How difficult is it to ship a metal?

  13. These are selling for 250 a pop. Also i read they are only going to have like 25 for sale, which makes you think that at some point the others will pop up somewhere for sale.

  14. Shipping costs are high on these, but that’s not the main problem. If these were to get damaged in shipping, they’re totally ruined. If a regular poster gets a ding, it can be replaced or become not totally noticeable when framed, but if you bend a corner on these, you will notice.

Plus, we’re reopening the store and we wanted to do something special for it.

  15. @Justin, thanks for the explanation. Don’t mind us though. We’re just the usual whiney ‘Ultra limited edition prints which we can’t get our hands on’ fans.

On another note, you guys should document the process it takes to print something like this on metal. I assume it is way more harder than printing on paper.

  16. I think it’s a great idea. If these went on sale via the net they would be on eBay in seconds. I recon it’ll be the icing on the cake of a fantastic opening day for you guys.

I wasn’t a massive fan of the paper print but the white really pops on metal. It’s like it is meant to be.

Perfect. Have a great opening day chaps.

  17. What a wonderful day to be living in California.

  18. @Justin: don’t forget to take a bunch of pics of the grand re-opening and put ‘em in the blog dude!

  19. looks way better than the film…

  20. damn, :) I liked the film…why so many haters for IM2?
Wish I could get one of these

  21. This is a masterpiece. Great job Mondo and Stout!

  22. I just snagged one of these off of eBay. I payed through the nose for it but it was most likely the only one I would ever have the chance of owning.
