Rich Kelly’s UHF Poster

The Alamo Drafthouse had the impressive up-and-comer Rich Kelly do this insane poster for their recent UHF screening.  It’s an 18″ x 24″ screenprint, has an edition of 200, and is $30.  Four random buyers will receive a copy signed by Weird Al himself.  Grab one now at Mondotees.com.

  3. What the crap just happened; one moment I’m reading this post and the next I’m checking my email for a paypal receipt…

  4. Damn, I love this print. If I hasn’t purchased those Warriors prints and Dead shirt, I would buy this in a second.

  5. This print really freaks me out. There’s something about those eyes that gives me the chills.

  6. Delicious! Nice add with the random signed prints…

  7. That is absolutely beautiful. Reminds me of Bill Plympton’s drawing style (Plympton’s got a new movies out too . . . trailer on his site!). I’d love to see this up close and check out what kind of half-toning he’s using for all that pencil work. Just a great print all together.

  9. really though?? $14.60 for shipping a $30 poster…. WTF? Shipping for pretty much every poster I buy is like $8 or so… is this $14.60 showing for everyone?

  10. The way Justin explains it the cost of the poster tube and the cost of shipping is wrapped up with the shipping charge. Apparently everyone else bundles the tube cost with the cost of the print. He could just charge $40 for the poster and $5 for shipping if it made everyone feel better.

At least that’s what I understood last time we had this discussion. I could be wrong.

  11. My wife and I are moving to Austin next year. I think I’m gonna start a little side business where I snag Mondo drops at the events and ship ‘em out for cost + $6. :)

Dude, you’d be my new best friend.

  13. @ Iron Jaiden…can i be the # 2 customer for your side business ? :)

  14. @ iron jaiden

Can you take me instead of your wife?

  15. Haha Justin’s gonna kill my ass when I show up in the shop during fantastic fest this year. “uhhhh.. naw dude, totally different Jaiden from Denver..” :D

@just me: yeah sure… my kids will never know the difference.

  17. @JB: dude I saw that. Wow. The movie kinda sucked but that variant sure as hell doesn’t. I’d be lined up outside of Mondo nice and early.

  18. @ij

Maybe we’ll get lucky & Tyler will sell some from his website.

But regardless, they are sure to become as scarce as the metal Robocop he did a few years ago.

I’d give a kidney for that one.

  19. these are sick. honestly mad props for any real artist out there who can screen print with out vector live trace.

    sweet movie to boot!

  20. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss; I could have done without knowing about the existence of those IM2 all-metal variants. I guess I at least have Chik-fil-A’s new spicy chicken sandwich to console me tomorrow. And maybe a medium or larger order of waffle fries…

  21. @Jaiden, When you make that move….let a brother know. I buy enough Mondo prints to help pay for your kids education haha
