  1. He is charging $500 and $750!?!? Haha. Good one Danny.

  2. why the price jack?

  3. $500 and $750!?!?—wtf is goin on.

    robbr1

  4. so it’s not just me that thinks that’s a pretty steep price tag? *phew*

  5. 500? That is crazy.. Retard riot if you ask me..

  6. Oh Danny Boy -Wonder what your take on this one was…

  7. i think the 300 & 500 prices were in pounds not dollars

  8. Sold Out so not crazy to some

  9. dammit missed it

  10. I loved this but the price was to much for me on this !

  11. Cool print for maybe under a hundred.

  12. Yikes, cool print, but that seems just a bitttt ridiculous.

  13. Do you guys who are complaining about the price even know who D-face is? Sounds like a bunch of gig poster nerds who don’t what they’re talking about

  14. “HUH?” DOESN’T SOUND LIKE A VERY NICE PERSON.

  15. I agree with “HUH?” $500 is a lot of money, but this is D*Face, not some random print from some random schmoe in middle America… D*Face, you know, one of the pioneers of street art.

  16. @ Huh? I know exactly who DFace is and think that charging these prices is insane. Check out the DFace prints that have been for sale at BRP for months!
No doubt that Danny-boy held back a good bit of these prints to flip on ebay in the future. JSG has admitted (after IP addresses have been logged) that “interns” have attempted to generate hype online over previous releases and this one is no different.

  17. boring and expensive.

and i am a dface fan.

  18. Oh, you middle-american gig poster nerds, you.

  19. Sold out!!! I wish I had money, but this website has already forced me to spend way more on prints then I should in a year……

  20. Wowza. That was spendy. Just as well that I missed the drop because that drop didn’t miss me.

  21. Why stop at $300/$500 and ONLY make $20,000??

Might as well make them $600/$1000 and pocket a cool $40,000 on this one print.

  22. Lotsa complainers. i would have dropped the cash had I not bought that foil yesterday. Best Dface in a long time. Guaranteed to skyrocket in the aftermarket.

  23. These ain’t worth the paper they’re printed on.. For those that ACTUALLY want this, check Ebay in a month to pickup a failip.

  24. ah, design at its best…..

  25. @ Stepback – Thank you for making my point! The prints on BRP cost $1200 and $735 for prints that are not as desirable images and are larger runs(ok FSG is a run of 48 if you wanna pull hairs)…I would take this print(either version) over any of those prints.

$500 and 750 screenprints by some of the best printers in the US and created by one of the biggest names in street art = priced right. I’m willing to bet these are printed nicer(and on better paper) than anything POW has ever dropped.

  26. Also I forgot to mention that the spoofing of the Coke logo will have crossover appeal and will give this image “legs”.

  27. @ Huh? – Thank you for proving again that this is all based on hype. Read the other comments above, go on the giant forum, go to bank$y.info and look at what people are saying. Ignore all of the “JSG/Danny-boy is sketchy” talk and it is maybe a half dozen people that posted that they liked the image and would be buying it.

As to your other point- one of the biggest names in street art? That is a stretch even for a fan. I’m so tired of all of the galleries posted this drivel online in a desperate attempt to grab every last dollar out of the art buying public. I agree that these prints are probably well printed but the image is weak. It isn’t anything new, it isn’t well balanced and it is boring.

  28. Stepback…you’ve lost me. Where did I “hype” this print or proved your point? I simply pointed out this print is less $ than his previous releases and it’s a stronger image. That’s not really hype, it’s just my opinion.

Just cuz you’ve got beef with JSG(don’t most of us?) or because you don’t like the image doesn’t mean that this print is overpriced. You’ve not made a single argument as to why it’s overpriced other than your opinion on the image(yeah we get it…you think it’s boring). I think the image is great and is in line with his recent works taking jabs at huge corporations, but that isn’t why I think the price is justified.

You also contradicted yourself completely. One post you say it’s waaay too much money(and imply it’s soo much they won’t sell), then the next post you say JSG is going to flip it on ebay. That would mean that more people want this image than there are prints so that would cause the price to rise. What are you trying to say?

I don’t understand how you can’t put D-Face up there as one of the most established artists in the street art game right now. Yeah he’s lost a little steam in the past few years, but he’s going back to what got him here and that’s the D-Face Dog and his “dog-faced” portraits. Just cuz he’s not huge here in the states doesn’t mean he’s NOT important. He’s EASILY in the top 10 of street artists in the past twenty years and THAT’S what justifies the price.

Also what “galleries” are you talking about? Just because one d-bag owner has been busted hyping his own stuff doesn’t mean every other gallery does that. So what they have to do some promotion?!? Without self-promotion they’d probably only sell a couple of prints.

Oh yeah and If you forgot you’re on a site that exists purely to promote(aka hype) artists print work, so you must hate this site too?lol

In case you didn’t know…THE WHOLE ART GAME IS BASED ON HYPE AND RECOGNITION!!!

Plus I did count at least 12 people on the Banksy forum who loved this image on the first page alone and stopped counting…

Just because one d-bag owner has been busted hyping his own stuff very shadily doesn’t mean every other gallery does that(if you’re trying to imply that i’m an agent of JSG you’re a fucking moron). So what if they have to do some promotion?!? Without a little self-promotion they’d probably only sell a couple of prints or none at all.

  30. I AGREE WITH HUH? NOW

  31. Print of the Year! Now buy it. LOL

  32. well
    I liked it.
Just to much for me when you can get a Faile which ar stunning and such high quality at the same price but IMOP different leagues.

If I found one down the line at a reasonable price for me, I would purchase this.

  33. I heard DFace and Banksy were the same person, or that he/they are the love child of Warhol, or something like that…

  34. THE POST FOUR POST ABOVE IS NOT BY ME. I BELIEVE IT IS BY “HUH?”

  35. i want to be a pirate… or a ninja.
    a ninja pirate.
    yeah, that’d be sweet.

  36. huh?
“He’s EASILY in the top 10 of street artists in the past twenty years and THAT’S what justifies the price.”

    In your opinion.
Meaning being easily in the top ten. As for the price thing, I feel if people will pay it, then f-it, do it to it.

That doesn’t mean much though, must I say OBEY Windmill prints anyone? Or the extremely expensive Audrey Kawasaki prints.

It’s the American way. People like to spend money on what ever is “cool”.

    This print is “cool”

Also, my congrats to the Admin for posting art (loving it or hating it), that gets everyone talking. Thats why I like this site. :)

  37. D*Face in the top 10 of street artists? Ha ha ha!

    Overpriced and overhyped.
