“Love Unites” Sticker Poster by Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey has once again teamed up with Sticker Robot for a limited release.  “Love Unites” is a giant 18″ x 27″ sticker with an edition of 200.  It will go up Thursday, November 12th (no exact time has been announced).  Proceeds will go toward marriage equality.  Visit StickerRobot.com.

    I love the cause and all, but really? A rough looking fist? It even made my gay friends giggle. It almost feels like the imagery is a bit too much for the cause.

    Just my opinion and all, but I honestly feel this is one of Shep’s weakest works. But hey, it’s all for a good cause, right?

    It is NOT a fist raised in anger. It is a fist raised in solidarity and resistance. The closed fist is a powerful symbol of human strength. That said I agree that is may not be perfectly suited for the cause and some nail polish on the masculine fist would help with that.

    I look at it more like a poster that could be a sticker. And most Fairey posters go for a lot.
