  1. pretty dope I must say

  2. and away we go…

  3. I like elephants, but this not so much. Is that an ear or a t-bone steak?

  4. wow this is very distracting

  5. if this were to be released at a set time it would break the internet

  6. Looks like a Black Label collab (or tribute)…. surprised this isn’t mentioned?

  8. Very busy. I love elephants. I’d like if the flower were just a flower and “Obey” were stuck elsewhere. But maybe it’s a running theme that I am ignorant to.

  9. Just a bunch of recycled images. He just couldn’t create a new flower or dove? C’mon now. Even the warp on the blacket is kind of funky.

  10. *Sigh*

  11. This may be my favourite piece from him, but I’m not a fan of his work. A lot of it is re-used. Most artists have a style they use over and over again, but a lot of their stuff is hand-drawn or more intricate.

  12. I dont care if this was Fairey or who ever

    I love this !

I wont be able to get this as I never make it past paypal – This is where I love flippers and Ebay.

  13. Yeah, I am surprised nobody caught the Black Label Skates logo sooner on the elephant cover. Is this a collab between the two. I know Black Label is doing a 10 years of the elephant deck series…is this included as well?

  14. I don’t like how there is leftover bits of the pattern near the elephant’s feet. Looks like the pattern is just abruptly cut off. Pretty sloppy work there Mr. Fairey.

There has already been a Black Label skate deck released w/ this Shep image, so yes there was a collab between the 2

  16. I AM LEANING SERIOUSLY TOWARDS PURCHASING THIS PRINT.

This is where eBay and flippers also love you! :)

  18. Thanks Skoola, good to know.

  19. what is flippers!? I tried to google it but that did not provide me with any answer.

  20. I live in Africa and I have never seen such a retarded looking elephant.

  21. It’s not one of his better prints, but it should sell out within an hour or so

  22. I’m sure he stole the elephant from somewhere.

Here’s to hoping I get one to flip

  23. meh

  24. the deck: http://www.calsk8.com/black-label-salman-agah-years-deck-p-2500.html

  25. “[B]ut it should sell out within an hour or so” -Why would it take so long? Because it is an unannounced drop?

  26. The more popular a print is, the longer it takes to sell out on OG.com

  27. There’s something wierd with the way the elephants legs are drawn. The print shows the right front and right back leg both striding forward.

An elephant (and most other) 4 legged animals walk with alternating legs striding forward. Right front striding with Left back. Then Left front striding with Right back.

But anyway… kudos to Shepard for releasing a print for less than $50. How about releasing some reprints of your early stuff. That would really F- the flippers and speculators on eBay who only buy your prints to make money off your back. They don’t even take it out of the tube. ScrewThem.

  28. Releasing some reprints of his early stuff would also be a great way to screw art collectors and Shep fans. Sounds like you’re just bitter 3D.

  29. It would also be a great way to ruin his career

  30. Aric, it sounds like you’re a speculator/flipper. In which case i won’t lose any sleep if you’re screwed. LOL

To protect collectors, Shepard can make reprints unsigned. Or print it on a different stock paper than the original. I just want to have a nice legit copy of that old Ming the Merciless print to hang on my wall.

So please don’t get your panties all in a bunch over losing money on your investment. It was just a thought. It’s not like I have Shepard on speed dial over here.

  31. I wish you had not pointed out its legs – That’s all I can see now – weird legs !
The back ones seem fine – There again Elephant expert I am not !

  32. Screw the legs, the whole damn thing is weird lookin.

  33. The elephant has three right legs for some reason?

This poster wouldn’t fly as a first year student’s color and comp class project. Way too many different patterns fighting for visual dominance, and no established visual hierarchy. Whats the significance of the dove vs. the elephant vs. the flower? Why is there a geometric halftone pattern in the sunburst and very organic patterns used for the rest?

If you like this poster you support Satan.

  34. some comments crack me up! This is not a poster that I would have on my wall, but I will still give it a try and flip later to get some more dough to buy something better.

  35. Rare collectable things are desireable and thus expensive. Art, designer bags, classic cars, its all the same! If you want it, save up, and buy it.

My panties aren’t in a bunch. You’re the one getting your own feathers all ruffled by “flippers/speculators.”

    Bitter AND needy.

  36. I support Satan, but I dont support this poster.

  37. This thread got really awesome…from art print release to the “unbelievable” animal proportions to Satan worship…OMG comment threads have it all! This just made my Wednesday.

  38. I think my fucking hand is broken!
