“Watcher In The Woods” Daniel Danger and Dan McCarthy at Gallery 1988

The Daniel Danger and Dan McCarthy show at Gallery 1988 San Francisco has officially opened, which means all of the artwork is now online for your viewing and purchasing pleasure.  Both of the artists have produced some of their best work ever for this exhibit, including lots of new drawings, paintings, and prints.  If you’ve got the means, any of these pieces would be well worth your money.  Check out the show at the official Preview Page.

  1. Wish I could have gone to see all these in person.

    Beautiful works!

One day I wish to own a McCarthy painting.

  2. daniel’s new stuff is incredible.

  3. It’s all pretty incredible. Nice work Dan’s.

  4. Some of those pieces are unbelievably beautiful.

  5. Most of the gallery stuff has sold, on both sides, but the piece Mitch showed (with the windmill) is still available at 3k. Wish I could have afforded it!

  6. The prints have taken more then a little price cut compared to when Danger was in the UK. Not cool (unless you live in the States and then you’re laughing).

  7. I wish I bought a McCarthy back in the day.

  8. excellent work from both artists

  9. Ian, I have noticed that the UK prices are quite high. They are the same as the US prices in terms of the number, but obviously the currency exchange rate is not the same, making it much cheaper in US dollars. It’s bizarre.

  10. went last night – the show is absolutely incredible in person, amazing work by both artists

  11. I hate prints that are sold via contacting the gallery. I saw these last night -gallery was closed. Today, gallery is still closed, however, some prints that were available last night have since sold out?!:(

  12. so i emailed the gallery yesterday after being unable to get through by phone and they told me that the print i wanted (and i don’t even like to be seen…..) they only had 25 for sale at the gallery (and they sold out of those 25). i would guess the rest would be sold through dd’s webpage, but that’s just a guess.

  13. I know – give me an old fashioned online sale. Agreed J.

  14. easy purchase if you were on their preview list

  15. Easier purchase if you had 1,000 – wish I did.

  16. Made the trek up north for the show, it was awesome and great to meet the guys. Was also a bit unhappy that one of the prints i bought from RGG was being sold for less than 50% of the original price..

  17. No offense to RGG, but I always find them to be overpriced.
