“The Dude” Art Print by Ben Swift (Second Edition)

After much debate, Ben Swift has indeed decided to release a second edition of his popular Lebowski-themed art print, “The Dude”.  It’s a 12″ x 16″ screenprint, has an edition of 180, and costs $20.  These will likely go pretty fast, so grab one now in the Gigposters.com Classifieds.

EDIT:  Not sure why this disappeared for awhile, but it’s back.

  1. super-glad to see a 2nd edition… hey, careful, man, there’s a beverage here!

  2. Well, the dude abides.

  3. the graphic is not pleasant to the eye… I like the concept, but I can’t seem to enjoy the actual image.

  4. The bottom line always wins.

  5. I really liked the first edition, it made me laugh. But a second ed. only detracts from the original message and most importantly…the value of the first ed. I missed the 1st ed. and will not buy the 2nd!

  6. I am with the folks on EB who were upset about this 2nd edition. I think that when people buy a limited edition print, they are right to expect that subsequent editions will not be released, arguably except for variants.

  7. I think the 2nd edition came about due to it being “oversold”

It’s a case of Damned if you do (Jasmine)
Damned if you don’t (Those who have paid and didn’t collect)

Still – Great poster and at the end of the day that’s what its all about.

  8. I think he should have changed DUDE to ABIDE. I don’t like seeing the words second edition on there.

  9. ummm these arent going to be worth cash anyways, so just buy em cuz you like em. they’re cool, and the price is right

  10. He kind of looks like the King from the BK ads.

  11. the dude would not care if there was a first or second edition. it is very undudelike to be worried about such things when there are more pressing issues at hand; like the creedence tapes.

  12. calmer than you are

  13. gone again already?!

  14. I couldn’t buy this poster because I keep thinking that Bridges looks like Manson in this. Charles, not Marilyn. Maybe I’m nuts, but I thought that with the first edition. Great concept, just not quite into the execution.

  15. dd + ue = dude

  16. my calculator only has numbers :(

  17. i don’t think people were buying this print for “Collectablity” or “Value”…it’s just a fun print. Poster collectors who are all about the $$$ are ruining this nice community we have here.
