New Concert Posters by Kevin Tong

If you’ve been paying attention, you have probably noticed Kevin Tong getting better and better everyday.  These two new concert posters definitely represent his best work yet.  The Moving Units poster is a 13.5″ x 21.75″ screenprint, has an A/P edition of 18, and is $20.  The Tapes ‘N Tapes poster is a 15″ x 25″ screenprint, has an edition of 100, and is $25.  Pick both of these up at TragicSunshine.com.

  1. Thanks OMG for the shout out. This was an awesome poster to make and if you haven’t heard them, Tapes ‘N Tapes is a kick ass band that shakes some serious decibels. I went to the show and they are all cool fellas I’d love to grab a beer with. FYI, the Tapes poster has a layer of metallic gold ink.
Moving Units is totally cool too, though as you can see, these two posters are for shows on the same day and I could only go to one show….sad.

  2. Once again, I think your use of colour is astounding. How do you work it, do you use a Pantone swatch book or something? Or are you just a colour ninja… either way, ace.

  3. Thanks!
I did go to Ninja color school…
I do use Pantone swatch books when I communicate with printers in far off lands. Recently, I have been printing or supervising the printing of the posters myself, so I test and mix the colors personally. No book needed there.
Strangely enough, I learned the most about color from working a year as an illustrator at Lakeshore Learning, a children’s educational product company.

  4. Kevin- Beautiful work!

  5. Looking good Kevin!

  6. Kevin, you’ve really been putting out great stuff. Love this Tapes ‘N’ Tapes poster.

  7. Both of these prints are absolutely awesome! Keep up the great work!
