New Art Prints by Joshua Budich

Looks like Joshua Budich just posted two brand new art prints.  “The Bombshell” and “Jack” are each 18″ x 24″ screenprints, have editions of 50, and are $35 each.  $10 of each “Jack” purchase will go toward Jack Johnson’s Kokua Hawaii Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawaii.  Pretty cool cause.  Visit JoshuaBudich.com.

  1. Very cool that it’s done for a cause, but it’s not very creative if the images look like they have been created from someone else’s photography. I’d prefer to see the artist’s own interpretation of these icons. There are too many poster artists following this trend currently.

  2. Yo homie no disrespect but the Shepard days of bitting pictures is coming to an END!!!! pick up a brush and do some real art. People art tired of this shit, stop flooding the market with this garbage. Bring back creativity in art and show us something new that we haven’t seen…peace, MOTION ONE-

  3. Well said Julita

  4. Where is BEEFLOAF!!! We need him this week!

  5. Julita. I thought the same thing when I saw these. If these were his photographs, I’d like them more.

Also, in comparing to Shepard Fairey, I don’t mind that they are similar but Fairey actually takes the time to “smooth” out line lines. Maybe I’m a nitpicky graphic artist, but these like the live trace tool was used with no clean up. Hence the harsh lines.

  6. These are nice. I really don’t care if they resemble Fairey’s style.

  7. Stout fans, Hell Ride poster up at Mondo

  8. LOVE THE JACK PRINT!!!!!!!!!

  9. jack Johnson is so fucking boring he isn’t deserving of anything other than a 30 second derivitive photoshop knock. So frankly, this is completely fitting for him.
