    I think this is uninspiring. I think 2007/06 may have been Shepard’s best years. Although it is hard to say until time passes, and his work is graded for what it is. Right now, his popularity/cult status has been perpetuated with the release of the Obama poster which is quite possibly his best still-living political person profile. People are clamoring for these prints not because of the man, Shepard Fairey, but because they can easily flip a poster for a few bucks. I just don’t see what I would say to someone if I had bought the poster, and hung it in my living room. That’s nice, but what is it? It’s a Shepard Fairey poster. It’s kinda ugly don’t you think? Doesn’t he have nicer posters? Yeah, those were produced back in 06/07. I hope he does something with more impact in the future, maybe something original like a free-hand drawing. Yeah, that would be interesting.
