New Art Prints by Evan Hecox

Evan Hecox has two new art prints available at Arkitip, and they are both awesome.  The first, “Tulum”, is a brand new image.  It is 16″ x 20″, has an edition of 100, and is $95.  The second new print is a third edition of the popular “Mexico City” print, this time done as a huge 24″ x 36″ screenprint.  It has an edition of 100 and is $250.  Visit Arkitip.com.

  1. I’m still waiting on the 24 x 36′ version of Winter Sun….

  2. Someday…someday, I’ll own something of his. *sigh*

  3. Looks like 1 per customer on this one.

  4. sweet chops

  5. Looks good, has motorbike – thats good for me.
I love his scenes, it reminds me of travelling with a packpack and $20 for a month, I can stare at them and get all yooful
    Ahh.

  6. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR THIS INFORMATION. I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED THE FIRST ONE. I AM STILL DECIDING ON THE SECOND ONE. ALTHOUGH, I LIKE IT IT IS RATHER LARGE AND IT MIGHT BE HARD TO FIND A PLACE TO PUT IT ON MY WALLS.

  7. WHAT? I cant hear you

  8. 3 editions of the Mexico City print…? Who is this guy – Frank Kozik? anybody want mine…?

  9. LOL a 3rd edition? Did the people that bought the 1st edition know a 3rd would be printed. I will definitely never buy an Evan Hecox print now. What a joke. When is the 4th and 5th coming out?

  10. dude’s gotta make a living. besides, the print run on all 3 editions (300) is less than what most people are cranking out anyhow. the first ed. will always be the most sought after, no matter how many more come after it.

  11. Who cares if there’s 3 editions? Did you buy it because you liked it or for value purposes only. It’s not like Hecox is a known dude and they are gonna be worth a damn anyway.

  12. I care. If it was going to be an unlimited edition, I’d not have bought one for $100. Good enough reason?

  13. It’s limited to 100 dun dun. Be happy

  14. I think if they only would’ve done the bigger size and price as the 2nd edition, that would’ve been better. Either that or the gold and red released at once. I don’t really care though, its all dope art.

  15. Sad day in flipper land… LOL!!

  16. Sad day in ethics land

  17. Tool…if you’re serious about getting rid of yours, I’ve got a cool $75 with your name on it.

  18. Love Evan’s work. Always have, probably always will.

I can understand the frustration that some have voiced about this being a multiple edition print. But to be fair, the same print being released in several editions can’t be entirely blamed on him.

If he were producing and selling these on his own website, then yeah, you could call bullsh*t all day long. But these are licensed products commissioned (I use this term loosely), produced and sold by Arkitip. That’s what Arkitip does. They pay artists to produce artwork for their products. Then they produce and sell them.

  19. No way, Jesse man! I paid a hundo, I’d expect to get a hundo from a “true” collector such as yourself! Such altruists on here! Way to go champs!

  20. Roy: thanks for the info -really. I was ignorant of that fact!

  21. hey tool, I will gladly give you what you seek for the mexico city print……just say the word
