New Mike Giant Prints at Rebel8

Mike Giant just dropped off two limited edition screenprints at Rebel8, and they are some of his best prints in awhile. Mikey Jesus and Big in Japan are each 18″ x 24″ screenprints, limited to 100 signed/numbered copies, and $50. Rebel8 only has about 30 to sell, so they will likely go fast. Visit Rebel8.com to purchase.

EDIT:  News to me, MikeGiant.com has them for only $30 each.

  1. ooo000ooo is getting really good.

OMG JK! Digging “Big In Japan”.

  2. That Koi Fish is insane!

  3. Does Rebel8 use kraft paper?

  4. No kraft paper with the one I bought a few weeks ago…they did stick the tube in a box though which was nice.

  5. no kraft paper=no deal

  6. They used craft paper on my last print.

  7. $50 is really high. You can get them $20 cheaper from Mike: http://mikegiant.com/store/

  8. God DAMN.

  9. haha, gotta shop around!

  10. Already bought @ Rebel8…………PISSED

  11. Me too.

  12. Think we can cancel? I see there are no returns, but I know it hasn’t shipped.

  13. I THINK THE $30 PRICE IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE $50 PRICE. I WOULD PURCHASE FROM MIKE GIANT INSTEAD OF REBEL8. I GUESS ONCE IT SELLS OUT FROM THE MIKE GIANT SITE IT MIGHT MAKE SENSE TO BUY FROM THE REBEL8 SITE, BUT UNTIL THEN I HAVE TO RECOMMEND THE MIKE GIANT SITE!

  14. The weirdest thing about this is that Rebel8 is Mike Giant’s brand.

  15. suckers

  16. almost bought this when it was $50. almost bought it again when it was $30 but then remembered i have to ante up for brlsq arcade fire release next week. romg posters.

  17. damn boutiques and their jacked prices…

  18. lol @ beefloaf

  19. Anyone familiar with Mike Giant’s #ing? It doesn’t say they are numbered. I hope they don’t all say 100/100 and he has like 500 of them like that.

  20. An edition of 100.
    Numbered 1-100/100.

  21. I guess those of you who bought from Rebel8 can take solace in the fact that those sold out before the $30 ones did

  22. Here’s what rebel8.com says… that’s a good news guys!

    A Little Miscommunication
    by Joshy D. – Nov 05, 2007

Mike and I try to have the best possible working relationship and friendship. However, at times and thankfully very rarely, there are miscommunications.

BIG IN JAPAN and MIKEY JESUS Posters went up on REBEL8.COM a few days ago at $50.00 a piece, but they were already priced and selling at $30.00 on Mike’s website. We know we cannot directly control the prices of other stores, but we can at least be consistent with pricing on our respective sites. With this being said, our apologies to anyone who purchased from us. We are never looking to get over on anyone, let alone our beloved supporters.

We’d like to extend a $20.00 credit per purchased poster that can be used anytime on REBEL8.COM. Please contact us with your order number and we’ll give you the proper discount code needed for your next purchase. Once again, our apologies, and we hope we can continue to do business with you.

  23. Check out the news page of Rebel8.com.
They’re giving a $20 store for whoever bought the print from them as opposed to mikegiant.com.

  24. $20 credit?! hooray! $40 to spend at rebel8!

  25. Yep, got a phone call today from Rebel8. Gotta respect that level of service, thanks.

  26. Hey guys-

Been reading quite a few comments about the pricing issue (REBEL8 vs. Mike Giant websites). I posted this earlier on REBEL8.COM. Additionally, they are now at $50.00 on Mikegiant.com.

    PLEASE READ THIS:

EDIT: Now I see that other’s have already read what I wrote. Terrific! Once again my apologies from Mike and myself for not being as on it as we should have been. Thanks for understanding.

  27. HA! Now $50.00 at mikegiant.com. Nice sales tactics.

  28. Well, thanks for doing what is right but the right thing is for mike to leave at orginal price….. not to change we have a multi million $$ shopping network and when the mistake is on you … you eat the problem internally which i am glad to see but not glad to see that mike as increased the price .. just because of the communication on the both of YOU…. I think you have done the right thing but mike has tried to make up at the expense of loosing customers to each his own

  29. prices going up as the edition sells out is nothing new. The credit thing was a nice gesture. They were cheap enough at either site when they first went up so, big deal.

  30. agree they usally put that in the listed with the price of the piece not an afterthought and they had messed up …. again just saying customer service which might be a hard concept ……

  31. Received my “Big in Japan” print yesterday, although the artwork itself is amazing it looks as if my little sister made the print using a stencil in her 3rd grade classroom. It’s a very poor quality uneven silkscreen with what appears to be drip marks in multiple areas on crappy black construction paper. I did however get the $20 credit but don’t think I’ll be using it if this is the kind of quality the put out.

Now I know why they we’re only charging $30 for it originally…

  32. Hmm, I had about the opposite experience. Mine looks great:
