Here is some exciting news from the Burlesque camp:
“Burlesque of North America is proud to announce our partnership with The Arcade Fire for the band’s 2007 North American spring tour. BoNA will be producing 6-7 separate posters for the US and Canadian concert dates, with the exception of their appearances at the Coachella and Sasquatch Festivals. Each poster will be a limited edition, signed and numbered screenprint available on the night of the concert and, following the tour, from Burlesque itself.
The Arcade Fire, a seven member (with friends), mostly Canadian outfit, is on Merge Records, and their most recent full-length release was the widely acclaimed “Neon Bible.” Along with plenty of other goodies, Neon Bible is available at www.mergerecords.com and www.arcadefire.com.
Burlesque of North America is a design collective based in Minneapolis, MN, and we have produced fine art, concert posters, record covers, skateboards, clothing designs, logos and other assorted ephemera for the masses over the past four years or so. A good deal of our work can be seen at www.burlesquedesign.com. Having created an oversized two-poster design for The Arcade Fire’s concerts in Chicago in late 2004, BoNA was asked to design and screenprint a tour poster for the band’s winter tour of 2004-5 and a five-poster series for their fall 2006 tour, and we’re honored to embark on the making of this new series.
Together, we are looking forward to creating a series of posters that will serve as a visual compliment to the engrossing music of The Arcade Fire, coming soon to a city near you.”
Furthermore, Letta indicated a June release. To check out the past Arcade Fire posters Burlesque has done, check out BurlesqueDesign.com.
